The Paul Schrade Library

The RFK Secondary School Library, named after union rights advocate and RFK supporter Paul Schrade, sits in the site of the Ambassador Hotel's former Grand Ballroom.

The library supports the site's middle and high schools and serves as a secondary event venue.

The exterior entrance is decorated with a timeline of events including the founding of California, the construction of the Ambassador Hotel, and the opening of the RFK Community Schools, with select pieces of memorabilia from the Ambassador Hotel's history preserved in display cases. The interior of  the library is accompanied by a pair of murals depicting Robert F. Kennedy, painted for the site's opening in 2010 by Judy Bacca.
