Parents and students have the right to enroll in external courses, even if such courses are not approved by LAUSD. However, it is important to understand that grades and credits earned in these courses will not be reflected on the official LAUSD student record/transcript.

After an almost two-year review period, we are proud to announce that the LAUSD School Board has CERTIFIED LAHSA as a STEAM school, recognizing our ability to provide exceptional instruction in the arts and math/science fields. Many thanks to our former principal, Susan Canjura, for starting the process; thanks also to our Principal, Cathy Kwan, for continuing to push our program forward; Finally, thanks go out to our STEAM TEAM for the many late nights and dozens of pages of work.
