As one of the district's first Linked Learning Certified sites and a founding member of LAUSD’s pilot school movement, LAHSA is a leader in educational innovation with an established culture of academic, artistic and personal achievement.

LAHSA is a true STEAM school: In addition to the rigorous theatre arts program, it offers courses and experiences in computer science, computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD), environmental science, robotics, and physiology. LAHSA’s innovative arts program has been featured in Univision, Telemundo, La Opinion, and Smithsonian Magazine.

With an in-depth focus on nurturing relationships, LAHSA staff often provides one-on-one mentorship to students in order to help them define and achieve goals. LAHSA alumni attend colleges such as Penn State, USC, UCLA, Berkeley, CSUN, and CSULA, just to name a few.
